Madison Ave Gold Buyers is a gold, diamond, jewelry and watch buyer with a walk-in showroom on Madison Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. We have bought from the public here for over 15 years, and we buy directly, with no middleman standing between you and the people who make the offer. This is our own showroom and our own website, and this page explains who we are and how a visit works.

Call for a free appraisal, or come by the showroom with whatever you are thinking of selling.
What we buy

- Cash for gold: cash for your gold and how we pay you.
- Diamond buyers: loose stones and diamond jewelry.
- Engagement ring buyers: a single ring, inherited or from a marriage that ended.
- Estate jewelry buyers: mixed and inherited lots.

- Jewelry buyers: any gold or gem jewelry.
- Luxury watch buyers: Rolex and other high-end brands.
- Watch buyers: everyday, vintage and gold watches.
- Antique jewelry buyers: period and collectible pieces.

How an appraisal works
Every appraisal is free, and there is no pressure to sell. When you come in, we test and weigh your items in front of you and explain each step as we go, so you can see for yourself how we reach a number.
- We look at what you brought. Gold is tested for its karat and weighed, diamonds and stones are checked under a loupe, and a watch is identified by its make, model and condition.
- We explain the offer. We tell you how we reached the figure, and nothing is done out of your sight.
- You decide. If you accept, we pay you in cash on the spot. If you would rather think it over, you keep your items and walk out with no obligation.
The price of gold moves every day. Raw gold is quoted per troy ounce against a public benchmark such as the LBMA Gold Price, which you can check at the World Gold Council, so an honest offer on scrap or jewelry gold tracks that figure along with your item’s weight and its purity; our gold buyers page walks through the testing. For diamonds, value rests on the 4Cs set out by the GIA, an independent nonprofit that grades stones but does not buy or sell them, and our diamond buyers page goes further into what a stone is worth.
Why people sell to us
We are buyers, not a pawn shop and not a chain, and we buy directly, so there is no middleman taking a cut of your offer. We have worked from our Madison Avenue showroom in Midtown Manhattan for over 15 years, buying gold, jewelry, diamonds, coins and watches from the public. We test and weigh everything in front of you, we price in the open, we pay cash on the spot, and we are glad to appraise something for free even if you decide to keep it. The showroom is easy to reach right in Midtown.

Questions people ask
Does an appraisal cost anything?
No. Appraisals at our showroom are free, whether you came in to sell or only to find out what something is worth. We test and weigh your items in front of you and explain how we reach a figure. If you decide not to sell, you keep everything and owe us nothing, and there is never any pressure to accept an offer.
How do you pay?
We pay in cash on the spot once you accept an offer. Because we buy directly rather than through a middleman, the money goes straight from us to you with nothing taken out along the way. Bring a government-issued photo ID, since New York requires a second-hand dealer to record who it buys from, and we handle the rest at the counter.
What can I bring in?
Gold in any form, fine and estate jewelry, loose and set diamonds, gold and bullion coins, and watches from everyday pieces to luxury brands. If you have a mixed lot, bring all of it and we will sort and value each piece. You are free to sell everything, part of it or nothing at all, and the appraisal is free either way.
